Celebrating 5 Years of Innovation: BMI Group's Anniversary Campaign
BMI Group is Europe's largest manufacturer of flat and pitched roofing and waterproofing solutions, with a strong presence in parts of Asia and Africa. To mark BMI's 5th anniversary, the company wanted to create a series of activations celebrating its rich history of craftsmanship, expertise, and innovation, while highlighting its evolution over centuries and generations.
The process began with research into the existing brand, followed by the sketching and development of the anniversary visual identity. Initial concepts were presented to the client, who selected a clear favorite, with some further refinements added.
The client preferred a geometric design inspired by the square shape of the original logo, which was used to form the number "5." This design approach allowed for the integration of images within the logo, making it possible to feature photos of employees and key moments from the company's history throughout the campaign.
A Bold and Versatile Logo for BMI's Anniversary
The final logo is bold and seamlessly aligns with the existing BMI brand. Its simple shapes can accommodate images or large color blocks, ensuring the logo remains effective even at smaller sizes.
Spotlighting Employees in BMI's 5th Anniversary Celebration
To mark its 5th anniversary, BMI spotlighted its employees, gathering stories from across the company to showcase their experiences and contributions. This process involved organizing photo shoots at various locations around the globe, capturing the diverse faces and stories that make up the heart of the organization.
These stories and images were then carefully curated into a 60+ page book, designed to reflect the rich history and spirit of the company. The editorial design was brought to life by incorporating elements from the anniversary logo's visual identity, such as the geometric shapes, ensuring a cohesive and meaningful look that tied back to the overall anniversary theme. The result was a unique and personal tribute to the employees who have been key to BMI’s success.
Exploring BMI’s Legacy and Global Reach Through an Interactive Microsite
A microsite was designed and developed to showcase BMI's history and global presence. An interactive timeline allows users to scroll through key moments in the company's history, with the option to click on each event for more detailed information. In addition to the timeline, the site features an interactive map that highlights BMI’s offices and factories worldwide. Commemorative Merchandise for BMI's 5th Anniversary Celebration
In addition to the digital and print materials, exclusive merchandise was created featuring the anniversary branding. This merchandise was designed to be used throughout the company and during celebration events, providing employees and visitors with a tangible connection to the 5th anniversary. The items included branded apparel, accessories, and other commemorative products, all reflecting the anniversary’s visual identity. The merchandise not only served as a reminder of the milestone but also helped foster a sense of unity and pride within the company as employees celebrated this significant achievement together.

An anniversary video was created to showcase the full history of the BMI brand, featuring an animated timeline highlighting key milestones throughout the company’s long legacy. The video also included messages from the CEO, alongside images and videos of employees at work and during company events, bringing the story of BMI’s growth and achievements to life.
